About Shantilal Shah Pharmacy College

Shantilal Shah Pharmacy College was established in the year 1992 by M.K.Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar with a generous donation from Shantilal Shah Foundation. The college is grant in aid institute managed by M.K.Bhavnagar University,Bhavnagar. It receives grant from Commissionerate of Technical Education, Govt. of Gujarat to cater its recurring expenses. At present, college is running 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy Course approved by PCI and AICTE, New Delhi with an intake of 40 students. From the year 2008, the institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad.

On the occasion of Silver Jubilee Year of the Shantilal Shah Pharmacy College, Bhavnagar, I am very much pleased to write this message for current and future students of the college.

It is always a matter of pride for us that the students of this institute perform excellently at GTU examination by grabbing top positions every year at GTU exams in the zone as well as university level. The college is also getting top rank every year at institute level result of GTU. The maximum no. of students of this institute secure admission directly into 3rd semester of B.Pharm at various colleges of the state at present as well as in the past when state level B.Pharm Entrance Examinations (BET) organized by State Government. We also emphasize on development of communication skill, trouble shooting abilities, humanity, cultural values etc. in students apart from curriculum by regularly arranging lectures of eminent personalities of society.

My every decision for the students and this college will be in the direction of upliftment of the institute and status of Pharmacy profession in the society. We as pharmacy academicians, try to produce globally competitive pharmacists serving for betterment of health of the society.

The major strength and assets of this institute are highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic staff members. Faculties are self motivated in upgrading the knowledge, doing research work as well its publications and taking active participation in seminars, conferences, faculty development programmes etc.

The efforts will be made by SSPC team to upgrade the institute and encourage the research activities and to meet new global challenges in Industrial and Community Pharmacy.
